Rear cargo tray for 6G bronco 4-door

Posted by Ken on 8th Sep 2024

I really like the design of this metal tray and I don't see any similar products (so far) that resemble this tray from Mountain2Metal. The product arrived well packaged and nothing was damaged. Installation was straight forward with basic tools. However, I had to tackle some crazy rattling from metal to metal contacts after installation. No matter how tight I tightened the nuts/bolts, the rattles were still there when going over bumps and uneven roads. After spending some time finding resolutions, I was able to quiet down the rattlings with the help of electrical tapes (as cushion). Now the rattling noise only appears when going over large dips on the road. I haven't read any reviews regarding metal rattling so maybe I somehow got the installation wrong, even though I don't see how. But still the rattling is now at an acceptable level for me and I still find this shelf to be very useful.
